Security and data handling
A plain-language overview for Power BI administrators, security teams, and report authors evaluating Zentrix visuals. It applies to every Zentrix Power BI custom visual, current and future.
Certification status
Zentrix visuals are distributed through Microsoft AppSource. Power BI visual certification is a separate, optional Microsoft review, and we do not display a certification badge for a visual until Microsoft grants it. Per-product status is listed on the support page.
In-sandbox processing
Zentrix Power BI visuals process only the fields supplied by the Power BI visual host, inside the user's own Power BI environment.
No external report-data transfer
Our visuals are built without external network calls and do not transmit report data to Zentrix Studio or to third-party endpoints.
No product telemetry
Our visuals do not send usage events or diagnostics from inside Power BI. Website analytics are separate and covered by the privacy policy.
Local-only export
Where a visual offers export, the CSV, PDF, or PNG is generated inside the visual and saved to the user's own device. Nothing is uploaded, and no export service is contacted.
Least-data support
Support requests should use anonymized screenshots and minimal reproduction files. Confidential report files require an agreed secure transfer method.
Security boundary
Power BI controls report authentication, tenant access, data permissions, sharing, and the custom visual host. Zentrix visuals render only the data Power BI provides to that visual instance. Zentrix Studio does not administer or gain access to your Power BI tenant by providing the visual.
Microsoft review
AppSource publication and Power BI visual certification are Microsoft processes. Certified visuals are tested against additional code and data-leakage requirements and cannot access external services. Our public product status will distinguish development, AppSource approval, and certification rather than treating them as the same milestone.
Vulnerability reporting
Email support@zentrixstudio.in with “Security report” in the subject. Include the affected product and version, impact, reproduction steps, and a safe way to contact you. Do not include exploit code, credentials, or sensitive customer data in the first email.
Enterprise review
For security questionnaires, architecture questions, or private-distribution requirements, use the contact page. We will answer with the evidence currently available and identify controls that are planned rather than presenting them as complete.
